Worth the wait!

Viera/Suntree Yankees defeated the South Beaches White Sox 18-16 in six innings to win the Major League District Title. The White Sox scored 7 runs in the bottom of the 6th and had the bases loaded when the last out was made.

West Melbourne Red Sox defeated the Palm Bay East Dodgers 4-3 in 9 innings to win the Junior League District Title. The Red Sox lead 3-0 after the 1st inning and the Dodgers tied it in the bottom of the 7th.

Palm Bay East Gators defeated the Palm Bay West Marlins 11-10 in 7 innings to win the Senior League District Title. The Marlins entered the bottom of the 7th down 11-7, but scored 3 runs and had the tying run on 3rd when the final out was made.

Lightning Kills Little Leaguer in Virginia

A 12-year old Little Leaguer was killed in Fredricksburg, VA yesterday after being struck by lightning. A second player is in critical condition.
